Aura's Flagship Interconnect.
Built for Builds That Refuse to Compromise.
The Aura Indigo RCA-B2 MkII is a 2-channel OFC interconnect with copper braid + aluminium foil dual shielding, Hyper Flex™ ultra-pliable purple PVC jacket, and heavy-duty disassemblable nickel-plated connectors — engineered for audiophile and high-end car audio installs.
Above the Venom. The Reference Cable in Aura's Lineup.
Aura's RCA cable range follows a clear hierarchy — Venom at the performance entry tier, Indigo at the flagship level. The RCA-B2 MkII is the cable you put in when the system costs more than most people spend on their entire car audio setup. It brings two meaningful upgrades over the Venom C350MkII: a true dual-layer shielding architecture combining copper braided mesh with an aluminium foil barrier — giving it full-spectrum noise rejection from 50Hz alternator whine all the way to 100MHz RF interference — and the Hyper Flex™ ultra-pliable jacket that was engineered specifically to survive tight routing paths without stressing or kinking the OFC strands inside.
If you are building around a DSP processor, Nakamichi FHA-series amplifiers, or any high-end head unit with 4V+ preamp output — the Indigo is the cable that keeps the signal chain as clean as those components are capable of delivering.
Inside the Aura Indigo RCA-B2 MkII — Every Layer Explained
100% OFC Conductor
Oxygen-Free Copper drawn without dissolved oxygen — zero copper-oxide impurities that increase resistance and degrade signal clarity over time. Full OFC (not CCA, not standard ETP copper) means the lowest possible DC resistance and maximum signal fidelity across all audio frequencies. High-frequency transients — cymbal shimmer, acoustic attack, vocal sibilance — are the first casualties of a resistive conductor. OFC preserves them.
Aluminium Foil Shield
The inner shield layer is aluminium-mylar foil — 100% surface coverage around the conductor pair. Foil shielding excels at rejecting high-frequency RF interference: Bluetooth modules, FM tuners, reverse camera electronics, ECU switching noise, and CAN-bus signals all produce RF noise in bands where foil is most effective (100kHz–100MHz). This is the shielding layer missing from single-shield cables.
Copper Braided Mesh Shield
The outer shield is a copper braided mesh — highly effective at rejecting low-frequency electromagnetic interference in the 50Hz–20kHz audio band. This is exactly where alternator whine (60–180Hz), ignition noise, and power-line EMI live. The braid provides a low-impedance path to ground for these frequencies. Foil handles RF. Braid handles EMI. Together: full-spectrum noise rejection that no single-layer shielding can match.
Hyper Flex™ Purple PVC Jacket
Aura's proprietary ultra-flexible PVC compound. Standard PVC stiffens with age and cracks at tight bend radii — a real problem when routing through firewall grommets, under door sill panels, and around dash corners. Hyper Flex™ stays pliable at Indian summer temperatures (50°C+ in a parked cabin), holds its shape at sharp bends without kinking, and does not transmit microphonic vibration. The purple colour is also the visual identifier for the Indigo series in a complex cable loom.
Heavy-Duty Disassemblable Nickel-Plated Plugs
Injection-moulded metal housing with nickel plating on all contact surfaces. The disassemblable design lets the outer barrel unscrew from the connector body — useful for passing the cable through tight grommets before attaching the plug, and for re-termination if a connector is damaged during install. Split-tip contact ring ensures positive retention in the amp or DSP socket. Strain-relief collar at the cable junction prevents joint failure under pull force.
Why Dual Layer Matters More Than Just Two Shields
The key is that foil and braid are effective at different frequency ranges. A cable with two braid layers still has a gap in RF rejection. The Indigo's foil+braid combination is the architecture used in professional studio interconnects for exactly this reason — each layer does the job the other cannot. In a modern car with multiple ECUs, parking sensors, Bluetooth, and TPMS modules, RF-band noise is significant and increasing.
Three Lengths. Every Install Configuration Covered.
Measure your cable run along the actual routing path — down the A-pillar, across the firewall, under the door sill, along the transmission tunnel. Add 25–30cm of slack at both ends. If you are between sizes, go longer. A cable under tension at the connector is the fastest way to break a solder joint. Excess cable neatly secured at the amp end costs nothing and prevents the most common RCA failure mode.
Aura Indigo RCA-B2 MkII vs Aura Venom C350MkII — What Is Actually Different
Both share OFC conductors and disassemblable nickel-plated connectors. The Indigo steps up in three specific areas — shielding architecture, jacket material, and routing performance:
| Feature | Aura Indigo RCA-B2 MkII | Aura Venom C350MkII |
|---|---|---|
| Conductor | OFC — Same | OFC |
| Shield Architecture | Copper Braid + Aluminium Foil | Double braid / double shield |
| RF Rejection (High-Freq) | Foil layer — full RF coverage | Braid only — limited RF coverage |
| EMI Rejection (Low-Freq) | Copper braid — Same | Copper braid |
| Jacket | Hyper Flex™ Purple PVC — ultra-pliable | Standard PVC + snakeskin sleeve |
| Routing Performance | No kinking at tight angles | Good flexibility, snakeskin protects |
| Connectors | Ni-plated disassemblable — Same | Ni-plated disassemblable |
| Available Lengths | 1M · 3M · 5M | 0.5M · 1M · 2M · 3M · 5M |
| Best For | DSP builds, flagship amps, high-EMI installs | Mid-range upgrades, performance systems |
Choose the Indigo when: your amplifier costs ₹25,000+, you are running a DSP processor (pre-ADC noise is amplified digitally — DSPs are the most noise-sensitive application in car audio), your routing path goes through EMI-heavy areas near the alternator or ignition wiring, or you need maximum flexibility through complex cabin paths. The Venom is the right call for mid-tier performance builds where the Indigo's RF shielding advantage is less critical.

What the Indigo Was Built to Connect
Nakamichi FHA400 (₹44,999)
4-channel Class AB amplifier. The FHA400's noise floor spec is only achieved if the RCA input is clean — Indigo's dual shielding keeps it there over the full 5M run.
Nakamichi FHA100 (₹37,299)
Monoblock Class D subwoofer amp. Sub amps amplify everything below the LPF crossover — alternator whine at 60–120Hz is in that band. Clean RCA input is critical.
Nakamichi NDSK4265AU / 4285AU
DSP amplifiers. Pre-ADC noise is amplified digitally — DSPs are the most noise-sensitive application in car audio. Indigo's foil layer handles the RF the Venom cannot.
DSP to Amplifier Stack
In a boot rack build, DSP to amp distance may be under 50cm. Use the RCA-B210 MkII (1M) — clean, short, correctly terminated. No excess cable.
Pioneer DMH-AP6850BT (₹28,999)
4V preamp output. A high-output source has better SNR — use the Indigo to preserve that advantage all the way to the amplifier input.
Aura Fireball / Storm Amplifiers
Aura's top-tier amplifiers are designed to match the Indigo cable series — same brand, same tier, same design intent.
