Pioneer DMH-AP6850BT
9" Wireless. Zero Cables.
Wireless CarPlay. Wireless Android Auto. WebLink Cast. Bluetooth 5.4. 48-bit dual-core DSP. 4V pre-outs. Dual camera inputs. Pioneer's most advanced floating-screen receiver — now in stock at Car Concepts Shop.
The Pioneer DMH-AP6850BT is Pioneer's flagship floating-screen receiver for 2024 — and it's a significant step up from the older DMH-AP6650BT. Same 9-inch display, same wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, but with meaningful hardware upgrades: Bluetooth 5.4 instead of 5.0, 4V pre-outs instead of 2V, a more powerful 48-bit dual-core DSP, dual camera inputs with AHD support, and OEM CAN BUS compatibility.
At ₹28,999, it's Pioneer's clearest answer to the question every car audio enthusiast asks before buying a head unit — "will this work cleanly with an external amp?" With 4V pre-outs and a 48-bit DSP with 3-way network mode, the answer is yes — this unit is built to drive an amplified system properly.
Connect your iPhone or Android phone over Wi-Fi — no USB cable dangling. Google Maps, Apple Maps, Spotify, WhatsApp, calls — all on the 9" touchscreen the moment you start the car. Wired USB also works as a fallback.
Bluetooth 5.4 means faster pairing, lower latency, and more stable wireless connection than the 5.0 on the AP6650BT. Dual phone connection keeps both phones paired simultaneously — switch between driver and passenger without disconnecting.
3 pairs of 4V RCA outputs — front, rear, subwoofer. Double the output voltage of the 2V pre-outs on the AP6650BT. Higher voltage = more signal headroom before clipping, lower noise floor at the amp input, cleaner sound at high volume.
Pioneer upgraded to a 48-bit dual-core DSP — more processing power for the 13-band EQ, time alignment, and 3-way network mode. Run your tweeter, midrange, and woofer on separate crossover channels directly from the head unit, no passive crossover needed.
Two camera inputs — front and rear. AHD 1.0 support on the AP6850BT means it can take AHD cameras that output a sharper image than standard composite. Your existing parking camera plugs into the rear input and activates automatically on reverse.
WebLink Cast mirrors your entire phone screen wirelessly — YouTube, OTT apps, navigation apps not in CarPlay/Auto, anything your phone plays. Works on iOS and Android. If it plays on your phone, it plays on the 9" screen.
iPhone connects over Wi-Fi — Apple Maps, Siri, Spotify, calls, iMessage all on the 9" screen. Auto-connects every time you start the car once paired. No cable, no hassle.
Android phones (Android 11+) connect wirelessly — Google Maps, Google Assistant, Spotify, WhatsApp. Wired USB works too for older phones or lower latency.
Mirror your full phone screen wirelessly. YouTube, OTT apps, anything on your phone displays on the 9" touchscreen. Goes beyond what CarPlay/Auto supports.
Stream music directly over Bluetooth without CarPlay/Auto. Dual phone connection — driver and passenger both stay paired. AVRCP playback controls from the head unit.
Tune every frequency band independently — bass, midrange, treble, and everything between. More precise than a 5-band EQ, matches your car's acoustic space.
Delay each speaker so all sound reaches your ears at the same time — creates a centred, focused soundstage even when speakers are at different distances.
Run tweeter, midrange, and woofer on separate crossover points directly from the head unit — no passive crossovers needed for a 3-way component system.
High-pass filter protects tweeters and mids from bass. Low-pass filter keeps midrange out of the subwoofer. Set frequency and slope per channel.
Pioneer's algorithm that restores high-frequency detail compressed by MP3, AAC, and Bluetooth streaming. Compressed audio sounds more open and alive.
Dedicated sub level, LPF cutoff, and phase (0°/180°) control from the head unit. Tune your sub output without touching the amplifier gain.
Yes — especially if you plan to add an external amplifier. The 4V pre-outs vs 2V on the 6650BT give double the signal headroom, which directly translates to cleaner sound and less noise at the amplifier input. If you're running the head unit's built-in power only and have no amp plans, the price difference is harder to justify — but for serious builds, this is the one to buy.
The DMH-AP6850BT is a floating 9" trapezoid screen — it does NOT fit a standard double DIN opening without a vehicle-specific trapezoid fascia kit. These are available for most popular Indian models. Contact us at Car Concepts Shop via WhatsApp and we'll confirm fitment for your specific car model and year before you buy.
Yes — and it's one of the best combos you can build. The 4V × 3 RCA pre-outs connect directly to the GM-EL704's RCA inputs. With 4V source voltage and the GM-EL704's 100W RMS per channel, you get clean, full-volume output without pushing the amp into clip. Add a sub amp like the Nakamichi FHA100 on the sub pre-out and you have a complete amplified system from one head unit.
Yes. The AP6850BT has a rear camera input that activates automatically when you put the car in reverse. Your existing parking camera connects to this input. If you want to add a front camera too, the AP6850BT has a second dedicated front camera input — the AP6650BT had only one camera input total.
WebLink (older standard) streamed specific compatible apps to the display. WebLink Cast is the newer version — it wirelessly mirrors your full phone screen. Any app, any content — if it's on your phone screen, WebLink Cast puts it on the 9" display. The AP6850BT supports WebLink Cast on both iOS and Android.
