Why Honeycomb Wave Changes Everything

Installation Guide
How to Apply Damping Sheets — Step by Step
  • 1
    Remove the door trim card — Pop off the plastic door panel using a panel removal tool. Locate all plastic clips (usually 6–10 per door) and remove. Set the door card aside on a clean surface.
  • 2
    Clean the surfaces — Wipe down the inner door metal with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or contact cleaner. For the back of the plastic door card, a dry cloth is sufficient. Adhesives bond poorly to dusty or oily surfaces.
  • 3
    Apply AudibleX Tri-Mute to the metal skin — Cut sheets to fit the large flat areas of the inner door metal. You do not need to cover every centimetre aim for 60–80% coverage of the large flat panels. Peel and press firmly.
  • 4
    Apply foam sheet to the plastic door card — Cut D-WAY or Elite Series foam to cover the large flat area of the back face of the door card. Leave holes and clips uncovered. Peel and press flat. Use a roller for maximum adhesive contact.
  • 5
    Reinstall the door card — Reattach all wiring connectors (window switch, speaker, etc.). Align the door card over the clips and press firmly you should hear each clip click into place. Reinstall screws.
  • 6
    Repeat for all doors — Treat all four doors for maximum impact. The difference between treating only the front doors vs all four is immediately noticeable, particularly for rear passengers and overall cabin tone at highway speed.
