The PSL10AE's amp panel carries everything you need to dial in bass for your specific car without a separate digital signal processor or head-unit EQ adjustment.
Sets the frequency ceiling above which the subwoofer stops producing sound. For a system with full-range door speakers, 80–100Hz is a good starting point. If your door speakers are smaller or run high-passed, moving up to 120–150Hz fills the mid-bass gap.
Shelf boost centered at 45Hz — the deep sub-bass register where kick drum weight and bass guitar body sit. In a small sealed enclosure, a modest 2–3dB boost compensates for the natural rolloff at low frequencies. Use sparingly — too much at high volumes can exceed excursion limits on any driver.
